She did it again - Mia Sheridan wrote a twisty thriller that kept me up late reading. She weaves the plot of her last book "Where the Blame Lies" seamlessly into this one, and ties them together in ways that I never dreamed.
The prologue instantly drew me in, with wondering what happened to Liza and Mady...and then when the book jumps to the future, and introduces Reed and adult Liza, I was wondering where this was going.
Sheridan creates a serial killer that is terrifying, and seriously kept me guessing until the end. I usually figure out who the "bad guy" is and this one took me totally off guard. The details woven into the plot were intricate and many, and made me want to plot everything out on paper to connect the dots.
I really liked Reed and Liza, and pulled for them throughout the book.
Extremely well done and as always, I can't wait to see what Sheridan writes next!

Who knew I could like romantic thrillers so much‽‽ I’m usually one to stay away but since it’s a Mia Sheridan book, I can’t. I love her writing and I know things will work out, even if I have to read between my fingers, as I cover my eyes. #ScaredyCat
Where the Truth Lives is the follow up to Where the Blame Lies. And let me tell you, both books had me on the edge of my seat. When I started WtTV, I realized that starting at night was the wrong choice. My heart was racing practically the entire time.
I was thrilled to see how this book tied into the first. Mia worked those two storylines perfectly. I was so happy to see how things progressed from the first book to now. And on a side note, in chapter one there’s a bit of a recap of what took place in book one, to give people like me, memory of a gnat, a better understanding of who this main character is.
If you liked to read books with heart stopping moments and that will keep you up all night reading, then I highly recommend you grab a Where the Blame Lies and Where the Truth Lives and hold on tight.

I've read every book by this author and have never been disappointed. Half the time I don't even read the blurb, I just get the book. Once again, I was not disappointed. I was kept on the edge of my seat the entire book, drawn in not only by the suspense, but by Reed and Liza too. Really loved this book.
4.5/5
And just like that romantic thrillers are now officially my favorite genre. The plot, the characters, the twists EVERYTHING WAS JUST PERFECT I didn't want this to end I become so attached to the characters and so involved with their lives I couldn't help but cheer on them and love them!!! Liza omg Liza ugh such a complex character her trauma didn't stop her from living her life and learning how to turn it into a good thing. Reed was the type of male character I don't see often in books he was just the right amount of soft I wanted him to be. Their story was so captivating Mia Sheridan always comes through with the best thriller books that don't actually bore you to death
