This was mega-cute. It was cute AF. It was so charming I was kicking my feet and giggling at 1 in the morning. My face hurts from smiling.
I loved Florence and Benji, but what really liked was that this story was the story about a family and how they loved and took care of each other while grieving. There was romance, but it was mostly about Florence and her family. The romance had context and a real, meaningful backdrop to set itself against.
One quibble. I kind of hate that Ben had to fit the mold of an acceptable man. He was beautiful, dark hair, ridiculously cut, well-dressed and fashionable, and decently over 6 ft tall. Why is that always the requirement? Can a man have a freckle or a flaw?

This book reminds me a bit of the 2005 movie 'Just Like Heaven'; a little corny and predictable with sad moments but overall a sweet comfort read. Just like all of the other Ashley Poston books I've read this focused on grief (specifically the loss of a parent in this one) and finding love or happiness in those sad moments of your life. I liked Florence and Benji (they make cameos in A Novel Love Story and The Seven Year Slip). This book is in my opinion a cozy comfort read, like all of Poston's other novels

This was such an innovative, lovely, sweet romance. I’ve been tired of the tropes. This was truly unique.

This book was honestly just so sweet and so fun to read. I was absolutely hooked from the get-go.
I loved the addition of ghosts. Fun storyline. But I guessed the ending from the beginning. So, too predictable. Fell a little flat for me.
⭐️Overall rating: /5:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I remember seeing this book when it was released and thinking “hmm, I should read that one day; it looks cute!”. Little did I know it would take me through a roller coaster of emotions! I literally cried 3 times and wanted to highlight and underline everything! Unfortunately, I was reading a library book….so now I owe myself a reread.
