I selected this as a BOTM pick, and since they tend to be hit and miss for me in the romance category, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this. I love a good love story, but this one covers both a romantic love story and a friendship love story...both of which got the happy ending they deserved.

This one was incredible but I’m not surprised because I have loved evening Laura Hankin has written! Thank you @berkleypub for the advanced copy! This was a romance at its core but to me this is a story about friendship and holding onto the ones that matter most as you get older. It reminded me so much of my core friends and how we have been through everything together and come out of it stronger. Natalie and Gabby felt like people I’d be friends with! MVP of this book is Angus and his emails!!

I am already a huge Laura Hankin fan, and her latest novel delighted me beyond belief. Natalie and Rob’s chemistry was instant - their easy banter had me grinning, as did the way they really *saw* each other right from the start. After falling out after the titular one-star review, they are thrown together again and again over the years throughout their own professional and romantic ups and downs, and despite their animosity they continue to lend each other support when they do reconnect. As a 30-something millennial surrounded by friends getting married, Natalie’s relationship with her best friend Gabby hit me especially hard. I highlighted whole pages that spoke to me at this stage in my life. How do you handle it when your best friend’s priorities and family responsibilities change and yours…don’t?

For fans of Emily Henry, and anyone navigating not-quite-new adulthood who wants to feel seen.
