The men in this book were far superior to the women (sorry but I hated Natalie, Gabby was fine) but when they held hands and jumped up and down together (in their 30s) I got the ick.

Unlikeable female protagonist. Found myself wishing she’d switch careers because she clearly sucks but then she succeeds wildly

3.5 —

I think the name of this book is a bit of a misnomer. It does feature a romance, but this story is much more about Natalie and her progression in life.

Honestly, I did not like Natalie. She was a bit self absorbed. Some moments made sense, others just felt silly.

Then the relationship between her and Rob. Idk to be offended about why he gave a 1 star rating (which was a super valid reason) seemed silly.

I think Natalie could have really used some therapy to process her relationships - both romantically and with her best friend.

I did like seeing how Rob and Natalie were forced back into each others’ orbits every few years to support their best friends. And I liked seeing how Rob and Natalie supported each other too.

Overall this entertained me but it wasn’t a favorite.

Thx PRH Audio for the early listening copy.
