From the very beginning this book me crying laughing! Evie was so dramatic and I honestly couldn’t blame her..I loved everything about he earthquake/ land slide parts of this books!!
I could not imagine crawling at work and my handsome coworkers see me and has to carry me..
Speaking of Conner I love how flirted and kinda arrogant he was in the beginning and how he showed up for Evie, it really made me smile and root for him and again it’s his entire family! Imagine thinking marketing is a low level job.. ugh
Now I was kinda mad at Evie for carrying so much unnecessary stress around but I’m glad in the end my girl got her HEA because isn’t that what we all want?!

I read this book as the audiobook version which came in handy for the long car drive.
The book had a lot of the same plot as “the hating game” but I was just not emotionally involved with the characters. I wanted to like Evie because she was obsessed with pride and prejudice and Mr. Darcy but could not get passed her giving up a promotion at work for Connor, her boyfriend of only three months. I believe Connor was a jerk and did not deserve Evie, he definitely is not like Mr. Darcy.

If you love sappy Hallmark movies then you'll love this. I enjoyed the slow burn and that there was zero spice besides intimate kisses, which is unusual for most romance books these days.
I will say, that Evie's self loathing got to me many times as I felt it was mentioned SO much, but as someone who has a similar inner dialogue I could relate to her insecurities.
I cannot wait to read Kayla's story next!

This was a cute quick read. I don’t think that this is memorable though. I didn’t feel much connection to the characters or the story. Though I did find it charming, it just didn’t do it for me personally.
