new review; in my opinion these books keep getting worse. captain has always been my favorite brayshaw and for his character to change this much is just sad. where’s my sweet, caring captain? i did finish the book so it wasn’t awful, but i am disappointed in the major character switch. ngl can’t really tell maddocs povs from captains bc their characters are so similarly written in their own books.
the worst part is that the brayshaw world was one of the first worlds i fell in love with and to see the progression of the series just going downhill is beyond sad.

I love Captain,
I loved him since the beginning of a Boys of Brayshaw, that All American look. So knowing that he was getting an entire book, rocked my world.
Knowing his backstory, and reading the Victoria epilogue in Reign, I knew this was going to be a bumpy ride. So naturally I buckled down, ignored all human duties and dove head first into this beauty.
I was surprised that the beginning had slow revelations, a build up, but hot dog! You hit 70% into this book and the phrases “ what the heck” and “ oh my gosh” will be your best friend! I did not anticipate anything in the book!
Megan did it again, she did Packman justice and Victoria got an epic story that she deserved. I am so excited for Royce to show us what he is made of!
