The quote from Kirkus Reviews “Cathartic and Uplifting” really sums up this whole book. I wish I had it when I was younger, but at the same time I don’t think it would’ve meant as much.

“Turn something crappy into something sweet” is one quote from this book that I think sums the whole thing up. I loved the art style and the order Tyler Feder puts her events in.

This book was really lovely and tender. A moving meditation on grief, death, and loss and all the messiness and complexity that arise with them. I will hold it with me for a long time.

Beautiful book, it made me feel so SEEN and understood. I cried a bunch, but that’s because Tyler Feder writes so insightfully that I feel like she’s writing my thoughts. It’s hard to lose your mom at a young age, you feel so alone in the experience. But this book made me feel less alone and reflect on how losing my mom has changed me, but mostly for good. I hugged this book when I finished.

Physically and emotionally beautiful. I loved the art and the story. I want to give the author a hug. Top notch.

This book is it. My grandmother, who I was really close to and have lived with all my life, passed away from cancer just last week. And this small book explained all my emotions so well. I felt understood.
