Rand:”No one can beat me!! I’m too powerful!!” *Immediately blows himself up with his own magic*
And that was probably the most enjoyable and entertaining thing that happened this entire book. While it was shorter than the previous books, somehow the author managed to shorten the book without creating any flow and plot advancement. The story goes thus: talk on a three hour ride, get to the place, have a meeting about what to do, talk on another three hour ride to the next place.
This book even managed to make a battle boring. Rand, as usual, acts like a man child that I can’t believe one woman would love let alone three reasonably independent and intelligent ones. The women in this book are also backstabbing and gossipy shrews for absolutely no reason when they’re not beating each other like children. I did enjoy watching Rand get his ass handed to him by the maidens but that was about it. One of the slowest reads I’ve ever encountered.
