This was mostly forgettable, but in a sweet way. My two takeaways are: Frances Price is my new literary hero, and the audiobook narrator, Lorna Raver, is an absolute 10/10.

A very odd book. I'm not sure what I think of it yet. It's very different than The Sisters Brothers, which I enjoyed a lot and then forgot immediately; this one might have more staying power for me, but I'm not sure yet.
