3.5 rounded up. Not as captivating as other Sager books, but good story nonetheless. I like how you never know of his books will be supernatural or reality. And this book had some twists and turns I didn't expect.

im actually shocked that i enjoyed this book as much as i did, i think the ending paid off really well and the different suspects and theories were intriguing. this also made me super emotional at some points. i didn’t expect the twists for some reason even though ive been having a really bad issue with predicting every thriller i read, but your mileage may vary on that aspect of course.

3.5 stars, rounded up! It took me a couple of months to get through the book, but I feel like the ending was surprising and sweet enough to where it was all worth it. Really interesting how this is his first book with a male protagonist (right?)
