I read the Bourne Series years ago. I enjoyed it very much. Ludlum is a complex writer. With this series you need to have the entire series with you as you read to reference as worked through it. It was intriguing.

I enjoyed the Bourne Movies, but was hugely disappointed in the books, of which I read only the first two. As others note, the movies have little in common with the books.

David Webb, AKA Jason Bourne, is drawn into events in China and Hong Kong. Another assassin is being used to take out rival groups prior to the handover, and using his name.
The US trick Bourne into going after him, but it rapidly spirals out of their control.

There's a lot of tense moments as the government plays with Webb's/Bourne's mind to make him their assassin by putting at risk the things he cherishes.

There are several plot threads running through the book, and the characters are well written in each one.

The continuing saga of Jason Bourne. Not as good as the first book but still a good read.

The second tale of Jason Bourne gives us a more fleshed-out character and even more of a sense of the turmoil the man goes through. Again, though, some of the more tedious aspects of the story bog down an otherwise enjoyable thriller. Readers may find it helpful to keep a short list of the major players and a description of which version of the "truth" of the story they're currently operating under, as the various influences and motives of the characters for what they currently believe is a great part of the fun.

Action packed and conspiracy filled thriller
