The cover blurbs don’t match the content at all.
mysterious tense medium-paced

The first half of this book was so slow and I almost DNF it. I’m glad I stuck with it

Best part of this novel? The main character's grammatical fixation with proper use of prepositions. "Up with which I would not put." I giggled every time one of those bizarre constructions made its way into the narrative. Delightful.

Beyond that, this is a murder mystery with an untrustworthy narrator. At every turn, Agatha seems more and more nutso. Is she? Well, I don't write spoilers.

I'll recommend this novel to lovers of whodunit stories, and in particular the audiobook to those who appreciate a range of U.K. accents.

Agatha is a delightfully horrible, unhinged protagonist! She also manages to make the worst possible choice at any given moment. I adore her.

A fantastic homage to Agatha Christie with so many little Easter eggs to pick up. Very similar to Gilbert Adair's Ariadne Mount trilogy.

Four stars because the ending was a bit much!
