Libby, Blane, Mark, Felix, and Stella, also known as the Five, are in their first year of college at a small college in Northern California. All of them have parents that come to visit during Parents Weekend. All 5 had planned to meet their families at a nearby restaurant. However, none of them show up. At first the parents think they are running late, and then they decide there must be at a party instead. However, when the kids are still missing hours later; the parents finally bring in the campus police, who kick off an investigation. This was such a fun, fast-paced story told from each family’s POV.

This book was......something. I wish the book had a better ending. I wish the POVs were only of the kids, and not the Adults. I didn't give a fuck about the adults and their affairs and how, in general, shitty they were as humans. It was a boring read, with not a lot of twists.

Mystery and thriller light.

Alex Finlay + Northern California/Bay Area + FBI Agent Sarah Keller = A Winner!

Finlay delivers on his past successes (“The Night Shift,” and, “Every Last Fear”) in “Parents Weekend” by providing readers with a fun escape and a couple of storyline twists.

Read this book to be entertained, don’t look for deep meaning or a cure for cancer.  It’s summer, here’s a great beach read.
