This was definitely out of the norm for me. I tried watching the anime w/ my brother and gave up half way through, but decided to give the manga a go. As I’m not into war history or physical horror, and the main antagonist(s) are basically a Nazi death cult lacking substance (in my very biased opinon) this just didn’t hit the spot for me. I did really like the dynamic art though! Alucard, though my feelings may be mixed about him, he gets definite cool points for his character design. And Sir Integra has really nice hair.
Overall, okay, but not for me:). If you like truly horrifying villains and protagonists of darker morales this manga does it real well; I would recommend this to someone if that’s their jam.
