It's cinderella for the first few chapters but this book is over years. I liked all of the characters and how it mainly focuses on newer ones vs the rest of the Bridgerton family. I like the break away from the formula.

Yikes, Benedict, yikes. I was thoroughly unimpressed by his "offer" but I'm still enjoying this series overall because of the Bridgerton sibling banter, the Regency antics, and of course Lady Whistledown's gossip. I do get so frustrated when characters refuse to simply communicate with each other, though!

The beginning of the book is really quite a Cinderella-story, that I didn’t blow me away. The rest of the story makes up for it and makes it a pleasant read. All in all, it’s more a quick treat than a luxurious indulgence.
