FINALLY a male Bridgerton love interest who actually admits to himself that he made a mistake!! It only took three books!!

In all seriousness, I did enjoy the sweetness of Benedict and Sophie’s love story. Unlike the previous two books, where the men are described as rakes and seem to have little respect for women, this love story is gentler.

I also liked how we saw a bit more of the younger Bridgerton sisters, who are just a treat. And seeing a bit more of the servant’s side of high society was a nice change in pace.

I enjoy these books quite a lot, thought I didn’t find this as compelling as the previous— I found the stubbornness of Sophie (
and the constant compulsive lying
)and the often really aggressive assertiveness of Benedict to be way too much at times
