this book was genuinely so hilarious, one of my fave litfic books about mentally ill women that I've read (and I've read a lot). would've given it a full five stars if the ending wasn't so abrupt and the characters didn't earnestly call their parents "mommy" and "daddy"

The main character was too insufferable for a higher rating

i don’t …have words

The whole story felt like it was from the perspective of being a fly on the wall/internal monologue which I enjoyed. I love mundane gossip about strangers and it very much felt like that.

the prose was so simplistic and jam-packed with "modern" buzzwords it bordered on obnoxious and try-hard. I could barely stand the dialogue between the two sisters for a couple of pages, much less an entire book.
