Ugh. What a way to go, Amy. I feel like this book was 75% plotless with the characters having minimal growth except for temporarily swapping places in their level of maturity at times. Needless to say all the characters had a lot of worries.
Moderate: Suicide
This book was so up and down and happy and depressy all in one. I didn’t hate it but at times I found myself incredibly confused. Not something I normally read but I had won a free copy from a Goodreads giveaway and wanted to give it the chance it deserved. It had its quirky moments. The ending though, I just don’t really know how to feel about it… I’d like to see what other books this author has written.

Jon and Poppy talk about Dan Harmon’s story circles while I peel the skin around my thumbnails off in limp strips, opening myself some raw little holes.
Pages 75-77
I notice a bug on the wall. It’s the worst bug I’ve ever seen, nightmare-colored with two hundred legs.
I love rewatching. I love when things unfold how I remember them unfolding.
The part of my brain that loves hateful things is aglow.
The house worsened Poppy’s hives: she lived in the basement, which teemed with black mold. You could smell it. I remember sleeping on her floor one weekend, dreaming that I was eating green bread.
Something animal inside me grows warm.
