This was one of those booktok books that I was a little hesitant to get into, but certainly sounded like it was made for me and whoo boy was it.  The protagonist's disability was really well woven into the plot. It's definitely New Adult, so not for anyone who doesn't like modern idiom in their "medieval" fantasy novels, but I flew through this doorstopper and can't wait for the next one to come in from the library.

I really enjoyed this book! There were tons of clever twists and it’s easy to get lost in this fantasy world. I was surprised by the romance aspect but it’s good. Fourth Wing is worth the hype!

I loved this book, and kept reading just one more page (or more!)  I'm eager to read the sequel and any further books in the series.  Violet is a brilliant character and I love the dragons in particular.

I was sad to see Liam die, though I'm glad Yarros doesn't shy away from killing off the good guys too.

The reveal about Brennan was fun but it would have been good to find out more rather than ending the book on that moment.

The gore warning is off, it's not bad. The warning for explicit sex scenes should be higher. I love the book though and recommend it.
