It's amazing how a story under 30 pages can suck you in so thoroughly. I really enjoyed book #2 in the Slab City Blues series, with Alex looking for a girl who's been kidnapped. We get to know more of Mr. Mac, Madame Choi, and Joe. The pacing was pretty fast, and kept me interested. Onto #3!

Brilliant Bladerunner-esque world building, the second novella is so easy to enjoy after you've read the first novel. A brilliant little story about who people really are behind their masks. A little bit sad too.
