Honestly, I liked the idea of the book, but the plot just fell short for me. It was just slow and kinda boring. There was some interesting parts that had to do with the origin of the sirens but that was mainly it.
I did like the explanation of how the religion came to be in the above and below worlds/cities. It really makes you think about how the story’s religion could relate to all the different religions on earth and how they were started. Ultimately, this book changed me in the sense that I became a former agnostic to a current atheist.
