I just read the first in the Hardy Boy's series, and I have to say, while very similar, I find the writing to be far superior in this one. The events all connect together nicely, and the flow of the book is really great. There weren't a lot of unnecessary side characters named like in the HBs. The way Nancy approaches the case and involves the police seemed much more believable as well. It definitely still had its moments where it wasn't fully realistic, but it was definitely an enjoyable, quick mystery.
