 I got the arc from the author and cracked it open expecting a cute little fairytale twist, and instead I got tossed headfirst into an Appalachian ghost town, a spicy fae love triangle, and generational curses like it's just another Tuesday. And it s the best thing ever.

If you like your fairytales a little unhinged, a lot sexy, and dripping with secrets and sparkles—this one’s for you. Just...maybe don’t make any promises to fae royalty. They hold grudges.

I was thrilled to be in ARC reader for this book! I absolutely loved it. Wonderful characters, a really good pace, and a creative and delightful retelling of Beauty and the Beast! I was only two chapters in when I was looking online for other books by this author. I can’t wait to read more books by Kate King!
