Cute twist in the beauty and the beast with some spiciness. I skeptical because I don’t like modern romances but it turned out to be an Isekai romance so it was good.

This was such a fabulous retelling of Beauty and the Beast!! Loved the pop-culture references, and the dual POV was done really well. The tension and banter was also wonderful 😍 highly recommend!

I enjoy a good fairytale retelling and Kate didn't disappoint! A Thorn In Every Heart is a retelling of Beauty and the Beast mixed with Anastasia. I really enjoyed the fact that the FMC was 30 and very relatable. She had so much sass and the right amount of vulnerability without making her seem ridiculous. The MMC was perfect. He was a grumpy cinnamon roll with issues, and I was there for them all. The story itself kept me hooked and the side characters were so much fun. If you want a fairytale feel with found family, new surprises, and spice, then this is a great choice.
