First let me say, this was super cute and overall I enjoyed it. However, I had to get over a few things in order to really like it.

1. It didn’t seem very realistic. Olive running into the CEO of a company that she literally got hired at 5 minutes ago in Maui (they live in Minnesota) was already a stretch. THEN you add in Ethan running into a newly engaged ex on top of that and we’re really grasping at straws here. Let’s say it’s all for the sake of a story. I’ll pretend it’s not unrealistic… but then…

2. Dane. How in the world can one guy be SUCH a tool and there not be any red flags??? I just don’t understand. There’s no way Ami didn’t see any red flags prior to marrying him. Like he was able to put on that much of an act with her? So much so that she was willing to believe him over her own sister? I don’t buy it.

All that aside, when I just pretend those things don’t bother me, the story was cute and I did find myself wanting to keep reading. Also the entire paintball scene commentary was hilarious. I legit laughed out loud.

I really liked this. Very witty, lots of banter, not much spice. Personally though
I would not have forgiven Ethan

I was surprisingly pleased with how much I enjoyed this book! I loved the characters, the premise, the way that some of the plot was dealt with - fantastic. Can I just say that Ami and Olive are my heroes!? Anyways, fantastic enemies to lovers with some serious and great topics, and I definitely laughed out loud multiple times. Now, can we get a story about Diego??? (Not sure if this already exists, I haven't looked yet...)

this book slayed much more then the spanish love deception. the banter between olive and ethan was amazing (reminded me of me and josh ngl :)) and the story was good. i liked how it got right to the point and didn’t have like lots of waffle before the honeymoon. (cough cough spanish love deception)

also the mention of olive loving her body and her “curves” is so nice to hear and made me feel much better because even though her curves are probably much more flattering, it made me relate to a character more then others when they’re described as “skinny” and fitting the beauty stand so knowing that this curvy book character likes her body and doesn’t want to change it like most of them do is amazing to read about.

perfect book for holiday ngl <3

This book was really promising in the beginning, but then it just went downhill. It had a lot of misscomunication and bad communication which I really disliked. Also that whole plot/subplot at the end really pissed me off, and I don't think there was enough groveling!
when someone you care about tells you they got unwanted advances and it made them uncomfortable, your response should definitely NOT be "I don't believe it"

I like the prompt of the book but idk..
I guess they are kinda cute. Didn't like a lot of the things that happened though. (Most of my other thoughts are spoilery

I hate how the main character is CONSTANTLY talking about how "unlucky" she is and how perfet her sister is and that she just can't help it .... She is complaining so much and I think she would just be such a uncomfortable person to be around.

I don't like the "it was all just a misunderstanding" trope, I HATE it when people who tell the truth are not believed and I don't especially love it when people constantly lie "because they have no other choice".

I don't think calling someone by a wrong name multiple times as a joke is cute.
Also I hate he didn't believe her it makes me so angry and she forgave him way to easily.

The honeymoon was cute but also quite a trainwrack. I don't think I could date someone who supports their cheating brother.
There were some sweet scenes but all in all it was ruined for me by their siblings relationship. It had such a big impact on theirs.

This book was a nightmare. Easily the worst book I’ve ever read. Every single character sucked and the male mc is a gaslighter. I had the worst time ever.
