This is my least favorite of the trilogy. Still adventurous and full of heart but not as funny as the first Tale, which became obvious when characters from the first Tale appeared in the epilogue and I found myself chuckling almost immediately, and didn’t inspire quite as much emotional investment as the second, which had me sobbing a couple of times. Still a pretty good time and definitely worth reading for any true denizen of Pell, but just not quite as … quite.

Write a story for a select audience, then throw in puns.
Instead the authors seemed to have some puns aimed at varying audiences and tried to write a story using as many as possible.
There was a fairly decent plot, but too much time was spent being punny and not enough developing interesting characters. It's simply too busy and uneveny paced.
