I liked the narrative device here, how the info was presented. Very well crafted. Started out kind of quirky and funny and then got intense/stressful!
I often see this marked as an LGBT+ book, but I wouldn't call it that. There are LGBT+ characters, but viewed through a hetero lens, and that's not really the main subject.

I enjoyed this book, as the format was interesting to me and the character was full of strengths and flaws that were equally given time to come through throughout the story.

Generational trauma issues were communicated so simply over a career counseling session, it felt like Cara was bursting at the seams to just have someone to listen to her. She is not perfect, but she is a survivor who wants to do better, and isn't that admirable?

Special mention for the audiobook narrator, who made the character sound so real, so genuine, so believable.

interesting format and well-developed characters. however, format held it back from fully buying in on those characters.
