Rounded up for the humor. Potato is really excited about the pants sale. However, when he gets there eggplant, who knocked him into the garbage, is there and he is afraid to go in.

Hilarious read-aloud! “Yam chaps” had my husband laughing out loud.

Delightfully zany, vibrant, and funny, like all Laurie Keller books. :-)

Cute book about the importance of recognizing and apologizing for your bad behaviour, as well as giving others a chance to do the same.
(Also can be a good example to point out the concept of foreshadowing to a little one - since we see that Potato in the same position yelling the same thing that Eggplant did the day before...and hey, wasn't yesterday Eggplant Pants day....?)

This is so outrageous and yet so cute! The story was good (themes of forgiveness, overcoming fear, apologizing, patience, etc) and it had some really really fun illustrations! I loved the "potato pants collection" in the back listing all of the different pants like a fashion show! :'D

Now I want some potato pants! Such a fun story about fear, desire, misreading others, and pants. Clever dialogue, clever sidebars, clever everything.

Silly book that makes me smile. Just say potato pants and you can’t help grinning from ear to ear.

I love Laurie Keller's books! They are have just enough adult humor to keep both parents and children engaged as they read. I loved the idea of a "tuber uber" and also of potato's wearing pants and doing the "po-bot" instead of the robot dance. Good book about forgiveness and how being unforgiving can stop you from enjoying the things you want to enjoy the most. Including potato pants!

I just love all potato picture books!
