The prefect blend of sci-fi, horror and comedy. This was exactly what I was hoping it would be-Funny, gory, zombie filled. I had a blast reading this one it felt like a love letter to Star Trek and early zombie movies. Having each chapter title come from the titles of various episodes of all the Trek shows was a cherry on top.

I really enjoyed this unique take on the zombie trope. The setting of a Star Trek con was perfection- it cracked me up that the characters, despite being in these horror filled scenarios, kept refusing to drop their cosplay acts killed me. The characters in this book were so fun and lovable.. The whole bit with the red shirt curse had me in tears, add in the Princess Leia character (you're in the wrong building lady) running around in giant puffy Enterprise slippers and really what's not to love.

If you like zombies, Star Trek, cons or fun I highly recommend reading this one.

I saw a guy reading this book on the train and as being a star trek fan and a zombie fan I just had to read this book. After reading this book I don't think I would like to go to a Star Trek Convention. This book kept me hooked!

Star Trek, zombies and a touch of Star Wars. A fantastic recipe for an awesome read.

When a zombie outbreak hits a Star Trek convention, it's up to Jim Pike, hotel manager, to get his sister and her friends out alive...

This showed up in my ebook deals a couple days ago. I'm a Star Trek fan and I liked zombies before the concept was run into the ground so this promised to be some brain-chomping good fun.

And it was. There are plenty of Star Trek references for the Trekkers and lots of zombie goodness for the fans of the reanimated. When you've got Klingons, a woman dressed like Princess Leia in the bikini from Return of the Jedi, and a red shirt named Willy Makit, you can't help but have a good time. While the Star Trek piece supplies the humor of the book, it doesn't go to a ridiculous level and the zombies still feel like a viable threat.

Jim Pike, a veteran of Afghanistan, denies the depths of his Star Trek fandom until it counts, and he steps into his Captain's tunic admirably. The book wound up feeling like Die Hard with zombies more than anything else.

Night of the Living Trekkies is a fun diversionary read. 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Okay, so it's not Shakespeare...but it succeeds at being wonderfully entertaining. Think Shaun of the Dead meets Galaxy Quest. A brisk read, not too gross-out, but it earns its zombie stripes.

If you like Grady Hendrix, then you need to check this out. If you are a Star Trek fan, you should read this. If you love a good zombie story, have I got a book for you.

This was just a fun read. General mayhem, humour, reluctant hero, zombies and Star Trek with some decent plot points along the way. A good, easy, quick summer read.
