This was so cute and fun! An easy YA that was enjoyable and quick.

3.5/5 - I wanted to like this so much more than I did. The concept is like catnip for me and there were sparks between the main couple.

I think I might be a little too old to truly enjoy this, it was definitely too YA for me. The FMC annoyed me and felt very immature even for her age.

Though it was an easy and quick read with a fun plot. Love the 13 going on 30 vibes but with the mix that both main characters were involved, so good just not great.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

It was pretty predictable and the writing wasn't my favorite. I'm also getting so tired of the whole "MMC is gone for the FMC but she is entrenched in the belief that he's an asshole and also has no idea he's in love with her even though she's super-smart" schtick.

Cute book but just reminded me of books I’d read in high school (flat plot, whiny main characters, no interesting climax/conflict). 13 Going on 30 vibes but just wish it had more oomph and development. Found myself rolling my eyes and telling the main character “just get over yourself and grow up” over and over again.

I think you know in a coming-of-age trope there’s going to be some shortcomings of the main characters that make you
emotional funny lighthearted medium-paced

The plot is a bit predictable but it was a fun, fast read.

what a fun read! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this sweet YA novel. Lea did a great job with the 13yr time jump, balancing hilarity with a touch of melancholy over the loss of time and relationships. I only wish we had at least one chapter from Renner’s POV because I just wanted to know what was going on in his mind towards the end!

If you’re looking for a quick read and feeling nostalgic about being a teen, this would be perfect for you!
