Cute!

This was a really cute book! It was pretty predictable with all the stereotypical rom-com elements, but i still enjoyed it!

"It was a feeling that crept up on me slowly, so naturally that it felt like coming home."

What an adorable book! I loved Amy Lea's reimagining of 13 Going on 30 and the twists she put on the story. For one, the fact that both Char and Renner get propelled into the future was a fun new way of doing a time travel romance. I also loved all the pop culture references sprinkled throughout the book, including Renner listing off every time travel movie he knew.

And don't think "Woke Up Like This" is just a fluffy, cotton candy sweet story with no substance. Lea also weaves heartwarming and thoughtful moments throughout that round out the story and give the characters depth. I can easily see this becoming a movie and I would watch it in a heartbeat!

I did not enjoy the opening of this book. I didn’t like the main character until later in the book. The opening scenes didn’t hold my interest. However, when the main character wakes up in the big change, the plot became more interesting, and the character grew to be more likeable. By the last few chapters, I couldn’t put this book down.

Thank you NetGalley for the copy of this novel. I absolutely loved it! It was cute, though sort of predictable. I thoroughly enjoyed the story and highly recommend for anyone looking for a light romantic read.
