I enjoyed this book from start to finish, the flow and speed of it stayed consistent throughout. An easy, entertaining read.

I enjoy Vonneguts writing and the way in which he weaves in social criticism, specifically here about humanity's propensity towards violence and destruction and the necessity for morality in science. However, I must take off .25 because of the way in which he describes a woman's breasts for literally no reason and objectifies her the instant she exists in the novel and continues to do so until she dies.

Little did I know so many wise and clever quotes attributed to Kurt Vonnegut were things he put in the mouth of his bizarre cult leader character. Almost made a bokononist out of me.

This was fun, though I still prefer Slaughterhouse-Five.

I enjoyed the dark and silly humor, but more so in the first half. This is actually my first Vonnegut novel so maybe my expectations were too high. The first half was a 4, but the second half dragged on a bit and kind of fell apart for me. I'm a poetry hater and I hate it being snuck into my fiction like a kid hates veggies in their Mac and cheese. It doesn't matter that the poetry was mostly intended to be comical, still hate it. I want to read more Vonnegut.
