I still hate Sarah Morgan and she isn’t a main character I would root for. However this book finished so much better than the perfect marriage. It did not feel as rushed.

I will say, why did we not get any more information about the Summers husband? Why was the sheriff killed? And no motive was offered other than us assuming it was for Kelly summers murder? Unless I completely missed that part, I think that was left open ended

I really enjoyed the story! One suggestion I have is to vary the character expressions a bit; I noticed there was quite a bit of head tilting and cocking, which seemed repetitive. Additionally, the term 'tethered' appeared a few times too many for my taste. Aside from that, I found the book quite engaging, especially the unexpected plot twists!

A lot of callbacks to the first book which unfortunately means it’s probably best to read/re-read that shortly before reading this one, enticing read even if you kind of know who did it because you don’t know how all the pieces go together
