"Hood Feminism" weaves an informative perspective on the feminist movement and captivating, personal accounts to enlighten and educate its reader on intersectional feminism. It's not meant to be a pleasant read and rightfully so calls out leaders and readers on wrongdoings. Kendall discusses the housing crisis, maternal health, poverty, hunger and violence that are often forgotten in the modern movement and not only provides a understanding of the issues but tells her own story as well. Her personal anecdotes are so so powerful and I would highly recommend listening to the audiobook to listen to Kendall in her own words.

A personal evolutionary experience with feminism and and the conflicts of patriarchy of white feminism ability to disrupt the progress for all women. No sense of pumping the breaks or hesitation….if you’re not ready for a rollercoaster of morality without a seatbelt, this ride isn’t for you. Some things are black and white, this evaluation and conversation about intersectional feminism isn’t. It’s a call for action without as so much as a stutter.
