I love the book. It was a fast read. I wish that the movie had followed it a little closer, but that happens. I may start reading more Karen Kingsbury books because of this one.
Though the vibe of the book felt the same as the chance, it still was a really different story, so that's cool. It was a little harder to read, and I liked the story a little less
Quick and light read with a good message. Recommend.

I used to love Karen Kingsbury books as a teen and found this one at my 2nd & Charles. It is a nice, quick read for Christmas and has a hopeful message. It is short, though, so I didn’t feel as connected to the characters as I have in other books. However, I did shed a few tears near the end, and I want to have a bookstore like The Bridge in my town. Overall, it was a nice, cozy, quick read.
I’m actually surprised I finished this book. I kept thinking, “Surely it gets better.” Nope. It all boils down to the ridiculous decisions the characters continually made. No one had any backbone to stand up for themself. And then carting all the books into the hospital room? Right. Two stars bc I save my 1 star reviews for books that are so bad I can’t finish them.
