A nice Saturday morning read about books, bookstores, and second chances from one of my mom's favorite authors.

Short, sweet, and a lovely happy ending :)

amazing!

So yes this book contains a Christmas miracle and many may find that hard to believe, but I for one believe in miracles! The story line is amazing, and it is based off of characters from another of Karen Kingsbury's booms. This is a must read! I found it to be an easy read, and I cried through half of it. I absolutely love it!

Meh. Quick read, characters were likeable, but it was just a simple book. Not enough depth to it for my tastes.

Awwhhhh feels!!!!

I've seen the Hallmark movie based on this book more times than I should probably admit, so I finally got around to reading it. Took me long enough!

I so appreciated both the short-story addition at the beginning, and _The Bridge_ story itself. It is ... quite different from the Hallmark movie, lol--more than I expected. But so much is still there (and more). I loved the faith element throughout, more prevalent than in the movie (quelle surprise), and hoh boy, I think I fell in love with Ryan Kelly even more than I did watching the movie, haha.

I was surprised how _short_ of a read it was--I frankly expected longer, perhaps ... at the risk of sounding like a broken record ... because of the movie. :D But, it's still well worth a read, and one I'd happily revisit again in future.

read this for a challenge... to read a book in a genre i've never read before. this is christian-romance-y, something i have never read in the past. i saw a hallmark movie at christmas that was charming and it was based on this novel. the christian aspects of the novel were not present in the tv movie - but the author/book came to mind in thinking about a genre i've never read before. the novel was approaching okay... but a bit too... i don't even know how to describe it. twee, maybe? it was all a bit much, really.

This was not my favorite by this author. I am glad I pushed through, though, and finished. The story was sweet, but the beginning was just not as engaging as others by this author.
