A reflective and thought provoking book, exploring how we see the world differently when death comes knocking. Some of the chapters were profound and insightful, while several chapters felt a little more vague and adrift. A sweet story nonetheless, exploring a life taken for granted and a good read for anyone who needs a gentle reminder that at the end of the day, the mundane is pretty extraordinary.
I didn't like the dialogues (word choice, dynamics etc...) and I also had the feeling it would be very predictable
I was disappointed. It was more sadly trite than sad. I wasnt looking for sad, but I wasnt looking for sappy either. There were a couple of well turned comic moments, but much too sappy. Syrupy.

its not horrible or anything, it actually slightly moved me at the end. BUT I don’t think i gained a single thing from reading this one. it felt like the main character was coming to the same conclusions that i had come to at like 10 years old.
my edition legit had quotes highlighted separately from the main text, like in the middle of it, often its literally a line i had read on the previous page. it irks me sm. i blame the publisher
