Wow!! I thought I like Cash’s story but I LOVED Wyatt’s! Sally and Wyatt are perfect together. I loved that they have been best friends for years (and secretly pining for one another.). The way Wyatt makes Sally find her confidence and she helps him heal from his grief is absolutely beautiful. This book was hot and sweet all at once. Definitely a must read.

Cute! A second-chance romance and it’s NOT a slow-burn!

I don’t love the like miscommunication that often comes with take dating trope but this was good

Loved, loved, loved this book! I am generally not a fan of the fake dating trope but here it lasted such a short time it was good. Wyatt and Sally have known each other for years, Sally leaves and becomes a veterinary surgeon and comes back to town between finishing her residency and starting her dream job in New York. She had been dealing with a dry spell in the relationship department and wanted to let her hair down while she was home and get her restlessness out of her system before she went back to the grind. But one thing that kept her from relaxing and finding a man was her nerves, she always got nervous and overthought everything. Only one man has she been able to be herself around and that was Wyatt.

Sally comes up with this great idea to "fake-date" Wyatt to learn how he can be so relaxed around people he was interested in. But that lasts all of about a day and they go into regular ole' dating. They have hurdles that they have to work through and we learn what the context of the end of Cash was about, but not until the end, which I thought was an interesting melding of timelines with the two books.

Overall I loved this one, the dialogue was on point and I was highlighting lots of quotes because they were so good and fit the characters so well. I liked how the tension was there but we kind of already knew how it would go we just needed to learn how we were going to get there.

• small town • cowboy • friends to lovers • mutual pining

wyatt has always been down bad for his bestie but protects that friendship at all costs. sally had been away going to vet school etc but she’s back and feeling rusty in the dating game. she’s most comfy w wyatt so she asks him to teach her some ✨things✨

I don’t even like friends to lovers and I really enjoyed this story!! they’re so cute together and wyatt is such a southern gentleman I was a puddle of goo!!!

🔥🔥🔥
