Getting into this book took a bit, but towards the beginning  of the middle it just gets so good. I got invested in each of these characters in different ways. And the ending was…. just something I did not at all see coming. Aka the best kind of ending. One of the best books I’ve read recently.

I expected much more mystery/actual investigation from this book, it wasn't really a mystery book. The author focused more on the characters than the actual mystery. When the investigation finally started, it was too quick and easy solution.
But I think the ending was worth it, it was a fantastic plot twist.
