I got this as an audiobook because I’m not super into reading poetry (I like going to poetry slams, but I fall asleep READING poems if that makes sense)and I think that influenced my ambivalence about this as a reader. Like another reviewer said I hope this was healing for him because I felt more uncomfortable than I was anticipating listening to him describe some of his life‘s feelings in poem form. I mainly give 3 stars instead of 2 because I respect what he was going for and the actual structure of the poetry but the content was a bit of a miss personally. I wish I had been better prepared for how heavy this content was going to be, the title may be somewhat of a clue but not enough
Poetry has a way of showing snippets of the soul. It is raw and honest. And while I cannot always relate to the topic, I admire the vulnerability.

Who doesn’t love Misha Collins? He is likeable in interviews and in shows I was excited to read this. I would describe this as a fine collection of poems. Nothing really stood out or left an imprint on my soul but he is a good writer and I think if he wrote more I would most likely read them as well. I just wish there was something that struck me here. I was a bit bored with the collection
