Been waiting months to finally read Misha's poetry collection and it it not disappoint. Heartfelt and personal you really get a better understanding of who he really is
I am a little embarrassed that it took me three months to finish reading this book of poetry. I thought I would savor it, a poem a day, but ended up distracted by all the things that happen between Halloween and late January in a pandemic, and devoured the last half or so in one go. In the uncertain haze of postdrome this evening, I found that sometimes I like it when a poem reads like a journal entry, and sometimes I really don’t like to be reminded of the kinds of things I once wrote myself.
All of this to say, reading these poems did not impact me at the spiritual level I am usually hoping to connect with when I reach to poetry instead of fiction; but they did reconnect me with myself on a personal level that I too often avoid, and that wasn’t a bad thing. Use that information as you see fit.

This is the most Misha thing to ever be produced. I could see him in almost every poem and then there were some where it was like WOW his personality was on all of these pages and honestly, I love this human so much.
Apparently there was one written about Destiel though....? And I can't figure out which one it was!? HELP YA BOY OUT.

For my Pleasure... not for any challenge.
I picked up this book yesterday. I had to ask one of the employees of Target where it might be because the website said it was in stock but I could not find it. The young man I asked said he had one more place he could check and said he would be right back. I waited for 10 minutes for him to return and he did.... with 1 copy of the book. He they only had a few copies left and he found them in a box that hadn't been completely emptied that morning.
Now to the review. I very much enjoyed this book. I love it when an author lets themselves be vulnerable in their writing and this is what Misha did. I have seen a lot of people say the poems were sad and some even put trigger warnings in their review, but a lot of poety is sad or deep. Some of my favorite Poetry Authors (there are not a lot as poetry is not always my thing) are dark and depressing. Writing and Poetry are expressions of our emotions. I saw pure love in Misha's work. Even the poems about his mother contained love for her. As a person who became the Parent of their parent at a young age, I understand the love/hate/regret feelings.
These poems really touched me and I very much enjoyed them. "These Days" resonated deeply with me right now.
Good Job Misha, great book!

This book of poetry, beautifully written and narrated, was at times heartbreaking and other times humorous. I fell in love with love in the first section and by the end was mourning it’s loss. I related so much to many of the feelings Collins was putting out there. Being a fan of his acting only heightened listening to the audio book of this collection
Sometimes intense, sometimes light and comforting like a warm breeze.
Misha Collins has a fantastic way with words and he shows it perfectly in this collection of poems that are in turns intimate, profound and light as a feather and show us slices of a life lived. His imagery may appear common but in the familiar his depth shines through in all its beauty and, ultimately, comfort.
