I like his acting, he could use some work on his poetry. Some poems are adequate but not great. Others feel like there should've been an editing phase that was missed. None of the poems left me with an emotional response, neither good nor bad. It felt more like a journal entry he just described what he did for the day.

I love supernatural, I love Misha Collins. I thought I would give poetry a try.

I dont get it... this type of poetry just wasn't for me. There was a couple that were heart wrenching given the story behind it. But one poem was about him spraying pesticide on a lawn? Erm ok.

uhh… i mean, it was definitely… a poetry book.

i feel bad criticizing it too much because it was clearly very personal work but i’m going to be honest, the poems ranged from awkward to unintentionally comical to depressingly monotone, and throughout listening to the audiobook i kept getting a weird sense of second hand embarrassment or at the very least feeling like i was intruding on someone’s therapy session or reading their diary. i kept thinking of that “this one should’ve stayed in the drafts” meme. not to mention, the quality of the writing was just… not good. i’m sorry but i found the poems to be very bland and lackluster, and some of them read like posts off the r/iam14andthisisdeep subreddit. i can’t even think of any particular poem that stuck out to me. after a while of listening, they just sort of started to blend together and made the book feel ten times longer than it actually was. by the time it was over, i kind of just exhaled in relief, much like an employee finally getting out of a boring and awkward conference meeting. i feel bad for being so harsh, because from what i know of misha collins he seems like a sweet person who’s done a lot of activism work which is definitely very admirable. sadly, i don’t think poetry is his forte (at least not at this point in time) but i enjoyed listening to him narrate his own audiobook because it made the poems feel more personal and heartfelt, and i think it enhanced the experience more than having read the physical book myself would have. i hope writing this book brought him some kind of closure and healing at least.

I love Misha and my friend sent me this when I freaked out about him writing a book. xD Thanks, Dean ❤️

A very quick read. Every poem made me smile or Aw out loud. I want to give him a big long hug.

My favourites were definitely the ones about his wife. I’m so sorry that they separated after so long… he clearly loves her.

I'm not rating it because I don't know how I could rate poetry but I really liked it, I've always had trouble with poetry and this book made me want to discover more

Misha has helped me so many ways with his portrayal of Castiel on Supernatural, but he takes it to a new level with these poems. Never did I expect him to make beautiful poems that create a little story, make me feel everything he was feeling in that moment, honestly I forgot he was the author and had to keep checking to make sure somehow the author didn't change. This book of poems is easily one of my favorites of all time.
