the beats are inspiring because even when they’re sh*theads and bad artists, every once in awhile they write a line or say something in a way you hadn’t thought to even think of before. a lot of this poetry was mediocre but a good amount was outstanding :)

It is so easy to get lost in the beautiful flow of words, these words that wrap around you like a blanket in one moment, and threaten to strangle you in another. Love and angst and anxiety for the city and for memory.
