Listened to the BBC radio play version. A decent mystery but ofc bogged down in the ableism, classism, and xenophobia that is endemic in Christie’s work

There are many of Agatha Christie's mysteries that were based on people assuming identities other than their own. My question to the British readers: Has it been so easy to pretend to be someone else in Britain as late as Post WWII, identity , history and all? It doesn't make alot of sense to me.
Would some one British, or knows much about British society explain this to me?

This was a good mystery with lots of twists. I liked how Miss Marple and the Detective Inspector Craddock gradually put together the truth surrounding the murder announcement.

Brilliant. Entertaining. Made me feel dumb but also could've solved the whole thing with a wound and bullet analysis
