Cool concept but the breakneck pace and general lack of interesting character beats make it come across as just kinda goofy

Right. So...hear me out here.

This is my first time with this author, so some adjustment may be needed. Maybe it just takes some getting used to.

The story is fine, but I would love to see something more flushed out.

Hauntingly beautiful artwork. As for the story, I had a hard time looking past the fact that Remina herself has absolutely zero agency and is constantly at the whim of whichever man has possession of her at any given moment. It’s been said in other reviews but it bears repeating that LITERALLY all she does for 2/3 of the book is cry and scream. That or she’s passed out. She also doesn’t ever express a particularly strong will to live, which made the stakes feel super low. It’s a really interesting premise and I enjoyed the horror elements and the art. Thats about it.
