Love V. Castro but the pacing on this one just felt... off.

I don't know what I just read and not in a good fun way but a confused way. The horror parts of this was great. Loved the urban legend, spooky house, the goddess of death behind it all and pissed off at what shitty things humans will do to each other. The ending is where it felt rushed and also over explained at the same time.  Belinda was very self loathing throughout the book and everything had a way of being known. Different perspectives, dual storylines, missing letters, dreams, anything needed to tell a complete story was given. I really don't know how to rate this book. I will need to think on it some more.

Liked it all the way up til the end. Seemed rushed

This was much more pulp fiction than I expected, in a good way. It’s like the Candyman movie with Latina heroes and villains. Rounding down to three stars because perspectives switch around in such a way that I sometimes had some trouble following. I would read more by this author.
