SPOILER

I like that she ended up with Conrad, I was rooting for him.

But there are a couple of things that are bothering me with this book.
First, why did Belly just act, like nothing happened, like Jeremiah didn't cheat? He came over and asked her to marry him and apparently that just made it all ok?!
Second, it was clear the whole time that she was gonna end up with Con. There were soo many hints, a dream or memories with him that she mentioned. It just feels so selfish to me that she kept on going with Jeremiah when she knew that it was never going to work. It bothered me so much that she always switched between the two of them not being able to decide, who she is actually in live with, which ended up with all of them hurt.
I only give this book 4⭐ because she ended up with Conrad and he eventually came around and talked about his feelings. Which was a shitty thing to do, so late, but at least someone spoke up about it.

Kinda wish I never read this book because Jeremiah turned out to be a dick and i didn't enjoy the trope. I also didn't like the ending and epilogue. I did like the emotional impact it gave. I did like the better bonds between Belly and her family and friends. It was disappointing though.

Wow I’m so annoyed with how things happened in this book. It was at least not as boring as the second book, but I just hate how everything ended. By the end of this book, I wasn’t rooting for anyone. I already didn’t like Conrad, Jeremiah sucked, and Belly was annoying. You’re telling me after two books of silence Conrad finally decided to speak up and actually express an emotion or two? The world must be ending. To me, Jeremiah was clearly the better brother, but this book did such a disservice to him. JENNY DID HIM SO DIRTY. He had so much potential and in this book he was written as a lazy, drunk, stoner, frat guy who ended up being a second choice. Meanwhile, Conrad’s written as some misunderstood, brooding guy who was the knight in shining armor the whole time. I feel like it was such a cop out to write Jeremiah off as a cheater. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think him and Belly should’ve been planning to get married. They were way too young, but I feel like their relationship could’ve been written so much better. It felt like the whole book I was just waiting for her to end things with Jeremiah and go running back to Conrad. Belly had no idea what she wanted at any point in this book. One second she’s so in love with Jeremiah and so excited to marry him and the next she hates him for sleeping with someone else while they were broken up or, God forbid, for having allergies. One second she’s remembering what it was like to love Conrad when she was younger and how nice it is to live with him at the house in Cousins and the next she’s remembering how much she hated him for being unreliable and never expressing his feelings. Like how unfair of you to take back what you said two years ago and just be like oh never mind I do love you, I’ve always loved you as soon as Belly is happy and moving on. Where was this two years ago when you had your chance? Jeremiah never stood a chance with the image the author portrayed of him. Overall, was it entertaining? Sure. Am I glad it’s over? Absolutely.

Favorite Quotes:
“Conrad was first, and I loved him in a way that you can really only do the first time around. It’s the kind of love that doesn’t know better and doesn’t want to—it’s dizzy and foolish and fierce. That kind of love is really a one-time-only thing.”

“And then there was Jeremiah. When I looked at Jeremiah, I saw past, present, and future. He didn’t just know the girl I used to be. He knew the right-now me, and he loved me anyway.”

“I wanted him for all seasons, not just summer.”

“Firsts were important. But I was pretty sure lasts were even more important. And Jeremiah, he was going to be my last and my every and my always.”

“I didn’t want to see a mark on his face one day and not know how it got there. I wanted to be with him. His was the face I loved.”

Okay here’s the thing, I have always been team Jeremiah from the beginning, but I have to admit, the ending felt right for Belly.

I think the thing that annoyed me the most about this last book is the change in character for Jeremiah, it didn’t feel right or fit the last 2 books. Him cheating on her didn’t make sense. I feel like the story could have gone in so many ways to still end up with Belly and Conrad, so I don’t get why the cheating and rushed marriage had to be the chosen path.

I don’t like this series as much as To All the Boys, but it was still cute. Still a fan of Han’s writing style, very easy to read through her books. I love the character development for Laurel on this one, and I love she found a way to make Susannah a part of the story as she was one of my favorite characters in book 1.
