I wish there would have been more  of a focus on Conrad and Belly’s relationship in the end! A book #4 would be great. I love their story. I was definitely annoyed with Jeremiah in this book (rightly so)  compared to the first two. Overall, I loved this series and the storytelling the author did.

Ugh. What a horrible ending to a wonderful series. The only
loveable characters here were the side characters, which we didn’t get nearly enough of! They ruined
Belly and Jeremiah.

Jere would NOT have been capable of doing the nasty and careless things he did in this book. I don’t even think he would have actually proposed to Belly! He has always been carefree, not careless. If nothing else, he would have balked at the idea of getting married at 20. Such ridiculousness. I can’t believe Jenny Han ever expected us to believe this.

I’ve always had a special spot in my heart for Conrad because I could see the pain he experienced over his mother’s death, but I also feel he was way too toxic. Neither of the boys deserved this relationship. Nor did Belly, for that matter - she has always been the most immature of all.

I also hate the fact that none of Belly’s and Taylor’s issues ever get resolved… at ALL. They were both mean and selfish, and there was never any resolution. It is as if they just forgot what they ever fought about. That being said, I liked their relationship in this book more than the first two combined. Taylor was the friend here that she should have been all along.

For as much as the author wants us to gun for Conrad, we never get to know him very well… at all. I think I could have rooted for him a lot more if I had actually gotten to KNOW anything about him. Other than the fact that he puts up walls. We get it, he’s an angsty teen. He’s also a one-dimensional character.

All that being said, the book was not hard to finish at all. Maybe I was fueled by my rage at how far downhill this series went. The only character I ever truly loved from this series was Susannah, so it was nice to have her voice come back a little bit via the wedding notes.

I am glad to be done. I will be bitterly disappointed for eternity.

Ok the ending was cute and exactly what I wanted to happen, but getting there was rough. 90% of this book pissed me off.

Jeremiah cheating on Belly and their annoying back and forth over the wedding (why was there even a wedding???) was way too juvenile for me. The only highlight was Conrad and her living together and the letter at the end.

I really love this series. It’s messy, dramatic, heartfelt, and relatable. Belly is a complicated character, she can be frustrating and annoying but you also love her. The other characters are all flawed but you still have empathy for them. This book felt the most soap opera-y of all of them, but I loved it. I couldn’t put it down. At times this series even genuinely tugs at your heartstrings. A great quick read for the summertime.

I just love this series. This was my least favorite installment of the series, but I still enjoyed it because these characters feel so real and authentic. I just really didn't enjoy the whole wedding sub-plot. I love Belly and Conrad though a lot. Book 2 was the best in my opinion, but I will forever read every Jenny Han book ever.
