Easy enough to read in one sitting. I found Eve somewhat annoying and a little pretentious although she does come around in the end. I liked Ben but felt he didn’t have enough moments to explore his character fully. The dialogue was good but the rest of the writing was often rambling. Skip this one if it was in your to-read pile.

This was slow to start (or maybe I'm just too old for a story about 20-something New Yorkers) - I wasn't a fan of the Eve chapters in the first half of the book, but liked the Ben chapters. It got a lot better at the halfway point and had a well-earned, satisfying ending. 3.5 stars.

While I ended up really liking this book, it took me a little bit to get into. There were times in the first 50+ pages where I contemplated putting it down. However, I'm glad that I stuck with it. Well written, great insights peppered throughout, and really enjoyable, relatable characters. Characters that you root for, and miss once you finish the last page. Overall, I truly enjoyed this book.

A slow start, but once you get into it this book it's impossible to put down. Heartwarming, charming, funny - an all around delightful read. By the end, the characters feel like your friends and you'll undoubtedly feel their pain, laugh at their wit, and root for a happy ending.
