A cute short story bridging the gap between novels, and giving a quick look into how awful some of the faerie courts can be towards those seen as ‘lesser.’ I enjoyed it, less so than Rat-Catcher and In Sea-Salt Tears, but it gives good context for a setting that would otherwise be unsatisfactorily explained in the next novel.

Of course this is short story, not full novel, but I cannot get enough of Toby's world and have been devouring everything I can get my hands on. I loved reading Toby's claiming of Goldengreen.
